Executive Committee
Background
The elected officers of the Council, the Chairpersons of all Council Standing Policy Committees, all past Presidents of the Council currently serving as Governing Board Delegate, and the Chairperson of the COG's Alameda Corridor - East Construction Authority shall comprise an Executive committee, whose Chairperson shall be the President of the Council. This last year, the former President of the COG was added to the committee as well.
The Chairpersons of the TACs shall be ex officio, non-voting members of the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee will meet monthly with the Executive Director on a date and at a location selected by the Executive Committee to consider and provide guidance on matters being considered for inclusion on Governing Board agendas and on other matters as directed by the Governing Board. A quorum of the Executive Committee shall be a majority of its voting members and all actions shall be by a majority of its members present with a quorum in attendance. All meetings of the Executive Committee shall be held in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act (Government Code Section 54950 et seq.).
